:D

Too sleepy to paint last night due to yummy shrimp tempura :p

I'll be sure to restart it tonight.

Anyway- two of my past 3DCG:

5th try with 3DCD by =Waterdroplet-s on deviantART

3DCG: Wallpaper w.o. frame by =Waterdroplet-s on deviantART

got on the candidate list for a possible commercial product(laptop design cover) in the UK last night.

Well, they may or may not be used in the future- but I'm very honored to be included among some artists.

3DCG practice

These days, I'm following on-line tutorials about Photoshop skills and techniques such as Web Design Library (日本語版)and PSDTUTS

I usd two tutorials (half tone and virtual orange) from such sites for this:

Wallpaper: Ame by =Waterdroplet-s on deviantART

I think they have great techniques there and I used orange tutorial and half tone tutorial (but in my case, I did in alpha channel).

Anyway, practicing w/ Cinema 4D using two tutorials:

Beginning:

End:

By using two hypernurbs, I was able to smoothen out the tentacles. I used 3 lights (yellow, light cyan, and white for this)

So, I learned three stuff:

- how to smoothen out models
- how to create models with glossy appearance
- changing camera angles

Software used:
Cinema 4D R11 studio

3DCG+manga/anime character

3DCG: Scatter 2 by =Waterdroplet-s on deviantART

LOL!!!! For the first time- I managed to combine both 3DCG and manga/anime drawing----yaaaaaah!

Yeah because of it- there are probably mistakes... Oh well. It's 1:50 am right now. Everything looks nice at this hour~

Okay... I'm still not good at coloring hair and there's a bit too much blue here- but this is where I passed out after working for two nights and a few hours in order to combine both my own 3DCG and manga/anime character into illustration for the first time- so yeah... there are mistakes here and there probably. I'll do better next time.

This time, I tried to incorporate my original -veryX2 simple/basic 3DCG into the usual illustration instead of fractals. I created the background first and the character later- just like scatter([link]). Since it was still complicated for me, I drew the rough draft first on paper+pencil, scanned and produced the character and 3D CG based on it. In the end, I used the same original brush as [link] . Everything but the character and yellow triangles was produced in Cinema 4D- which I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

The line rendering for Cinema 4D was produced based on the tutorial by Pdgfx. Thank you.
Tools used:
A4 paper+pencil+eraser
Scanner
Adobe Reader+Acrobat (since the graphic was originally scanned in pdf format)
Cinema 4D R11 (studio) (3DCG models, 600dpi)
Comic Studio Ex 4.0 (line art, 1200 dpi, monochrome)
Photoshop CS2 (coloring, editing, 600dpi, 8bit/channel)
Texture for the sky: photo I took from airplane in Aug 2008

Time it took:
2 nights+a few hours
Modeling+rendering time for 3DCG:
2 hours

I did 3DCG practice last night:

I think my next illustration would have 3DCG, manga/anime character, and fractals if there's time.

p.s.
Practice:

...

I think I prefer mischievous characters more.

3DCG animation practice

Yeah... Call it the major disaster for my first 3DCG animation attempt:
http://daydreamingsky.blog94.fc2.com/blog-entry-827.html

Site's in Japanese- but you can watch it without any lang. problem- probably. It didn't work when I posted the video directly here.

I used texture from Princess of Shadows's stock for the second animation.

Done with commissions!!

I finished all my commissions yesterday:

Commision: Woman's face 2 by =Waterdroplet-s on deviantART

and

released my ID picture (though I don't look like this lol) for one site:

Doodle: one with clock by =Waterdroplet-s on deviantART

I'm currently trying to practice adding texture to my graphics- esp. 3DCG. So, as I practiced 3DCG in Cinema 4D:

I changed the material setting of balls and turned out to be:

Still, I need to texture to make it more realistic, so I'm going to use this anime/manga drawing to practice texture:

Even though I don't like BL, I seem to have a tendency to draw mostly males.

Ok, his pupils are not focused and lines are rough.
